There’s always hope
Life is hard. Trials both ordinary and surprising, momentary and longstanding bring us to our knees in desperation, fear, pain, and often confusion. Are you in such a place, wondering where to turn, looking for a word of hope? Explore with me the “manna” that Jesus offers, and learn that these bits of grace, mercy, guidance, and hope are just the provision we need in each moment, in this present moment.
It’s all found in Jesus Christ and He is sufficient.
Inspiration & Purpose
2 Corinthians 12:9 was a pivotal truth for me in a dark time of motherhood. Its truth shone light into my struggle as I realized afresh that I don’t have to have it all together, in fact, I simply couldn’t. And that realization was right where God wanted me. God was and is sovereign over my life and the trials He lovingly sent into it, and in my messy weakness, His power, love, and glory were being made known. All I needed to do is trust Him and walk in faith, keeping my eyes fixed on Him.
And today, the same is true.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
This space is a place for you to be refreshed and encouraged in the anchoring truth of God’s Word through articles, brief reflections, and helpful quotes.
About
I’m Charissa, the writer behind Manna For This Moment, learning along with you how to look up to Jesus for hope and help in hard times. I’m a born-again Christian, seeking to serve God in my home as a wife and mother, and in my church. I love teaching and discipling, traveling with my husband and kids, getting lost in a book, nurturing beauty in my home and garden, cooking up new recipes, and enjoying local coffee shops.
As I study Scripture and how to apply it to life’s complexities, my goal is to share with you the joy of finding help and satisfaction in Jesus Christ, no matter what life’s path brings or takes from you.
With Jesus, there is always hope.
